Why choose the EcoPlus Hot Water Heat Pump System for your Electric Hot Water?
Hot Water Systems and Energy Costs
Heating water is one of the most significant energy users in our homes, taking control of the situation starts with seeking the most efficient hot water system on the market. The EcoPlus Hot Water Heat Pump System minimises the energy consumption and maximises the water-heating capacity whilst allowing for faster recovery, resulting in significantly lower operating costs.
Energy Savings with the EcoPlus Hot Water Heat Pump System
Save up to 80%* of your hot water energy costs... rain, hail or shine!
The EcoPlus Hot Water Heat Pump System has been designed using the latest refrigeration technology to absorb heat from the outside air to heat water. We have produced one of the most energy efficient units currently available. It's even more efficient when connected to off-peak power.
By using industry-leading technology found in refrigeration and air conditioning units, energy is drawn in from the ambient atmosphere and transferred into heat. An ozone friendly refrigerant R744 (CO2) absorbs the heat, which then flows into a compressor where it's converted into a high-temperature gas. Then, it passes through a condenser within the water tank and the water is heated up. No backup booster element is required.
The result is a system that requires radically less electricity to heat water when compared to conventional hot water systems. In fact, this system will save you up to 80%* of your hot water energy costs, year after year. And no, it doesn't involve cold showers!
Less energy, less impact on the environment, more savings.
The EcoPlus Hot Water Heat Pump System technology uses 0.958kW^^ of energy to generate 4.5kW of heat; this is ~80% less energy compared to traditional hot water systems. When considering that electricity price hikes will continue to hit households year after year, it becomes the best, financially sustainable option on the market.
Easy Hot Water System Installation
The EcoPlus Hot Water Heat Pump System is easy to install. It uses a smarter split system design where the heat pump unit and stainless steel tank can be installed separately. This allows flexibility of the storage tank location, which can be up to 15 metres distance horizontally or 3 metres vertically from the heat pump unit.
Installation of this system must be carried out only by an approved EcoPlus installer.
The Rheem 300L Mains Pressure Stainless Steel Tank is insulated to NZ MEPS standards. The EcoPlus Hot Water Heat Pump System has an automatic heating cycle, ideal for use with off-peak power and a 10-year Tank warranty for long term savings. Compared with a conventional electric system, the EcoPlus Hot Water Heat Pump System features up to 50 per cent faster heat recovery. It takes just 4 hours to heat 300 litres of water from 19ºC to 63ºC^^. An in-built freeze protection makes the hot water heat pump system suitable for all of New Zealand's climates throughout the entire year.
Sanden EcoPlus Heat Pump - Whisper Quiet Operation
The heat pump unit features a whisper quiet operation (37dB) so it will operate unobtrusively throughout the night making it neighbourhood friendly as well. In a time of escalating energy costs, the most energy efficient and quietest hot water heat pump system, that is also environmentally sound, is a first-rate choice for every household.
